| 1. THE
TRUTH ABOUT CHIROPRACTIC
Would you ask your vet about your teeth?
If you wanted to find accurate information about the New Zealand First political party would you ask Don Brash? Or vice versa?
Of course not, but that is exactly what most people do if they
want to find out anything about Chiropractic, they ask the medical
people. The very people who are too busy to ask about - let alone know about - chiropractic care. They also lose their
personal esteem when the patient then gets well under chiropractic
care. It is a shame but that is how most of our patients come
under our care, as medical rejects. Those who have virtually
tried everything else and failed, turn to Chiropractic to see
if it can help them. If it does – then they are prepared
to believe what the Chiropractor is telling them, and often
from patients like yourself come our best campaigners for the
freedom to have the truth told about chiropractic.
Chiropractic is not a cure all – in fact chiropractors
make the flat statement that chiropractic doesn’t cure
anything. But then, no-one in the medical arena
cures anything either.
Chiropractors understand that all healing comes from within
the body and not from something done outside. Who cures the
common cold or mends a broken bone? Obviously the body does
and chiropractors maintain that if the body is put in a position
of working, perhaps better than it is at the moment, then the
body could perform all these so called miracles and enable the
patient to get back to life and health once more, plus possibly
preventing problems happening in the future.
Chiropractors maintain that this body was put together with
all the wisdom in the universe and we have to assume that it
knows its job.
Things are not supposed to go wrong at age thirty-nine for example,
we are not supposed to have normal morning headaches, irrespective of what
appears on television. There is a reason for things to happen
in a body and there is a law of cause and effect operating in all
living things. For every cause there is an ultimate effect and
for every effect there is the ultimate cause.
Chiropractors know that most symptoms in man are just side
effects of a situation or problem that is caused by something
else.
If you have been shot in the foot or have been bitten on the
leg by a rattle snake, then the problem is easily identified -
but the intricacies of the millions of nerves - most of which start in the spine - which can cause unpleasant effects are yet to be understood by even the most learned scientist
of today.
But there is one person that knows how your body is to function
correctly at all times in every way, and that IS YOUR OWN individual
body-WHEN IT IS WORKING RIGHT. This is where chiropractic comes
in - IMPROVING BODY FUNCTION. For too long psychiatric professions
have been saying that heath is all mind and never matter, and
for too long the medical professions have been saying that it's all
matter and never mind: where both fail to grasp that ALL health
and THUS LIFE is the resultant of the flow of the minds energy
out and through all parts of your body to make each person and
each cell a living, breathing, functioning human being.
The inner unconscious mind of each person knows how to run
each individual body successfully and has done so for countless
generations.
The person who has been given six months to live, is supposed to
die of some horrible disease, lives another thirty years- out-lives all doctors and dies at a great old age of ninety, who
cured these? Obviously the body does, and that is what chiropractors
have been saying for the last 110 years. If the spine
or one of the vertebrae within the spine is misaligned, it will pinch
off or interfere with one or more of the spinal nerves which
exit from between the individual vertebrae and connect the brain
with all parts in the body. Then, if a chiropractor can gently
restore that misalignment, the body HAS TO function and work
better, which ultimately benefits each individual by improving
their health and function.
Chiropractic is that simple.
Chiropractors have nothing against most individual practitioners
of the medical profession. Most medical doctors probably are
as dedicated in trying to get sick people well as the Chiropractor,
but what chiropractors are firmly against is the 80% of medical
practice that is done in the pretense of getting people well.
The cutting out of healthy organs as a treatment of disease. The treatment of a diagnosed disease
with poisonous chemicals that give the patient another problem - called a 'side effect' (and the cause of 7% of all hospital admissions) - and thus the real problem goes undetected. Chiropractors
are against the misconception that if you have no symptoms then
you’re okay, but if you do, then pop enough pills until
the symptoms go away then you are okay. I personally know that
Chiropractors are against the biggest lie of all; the lie when
the medical people say chiropractic doesn’t work. Chiropractic
DOES work and that is all that counts.
Remember there is something bigger at stake here than just your
health. The second biggest industry in the
world today is the drug industry and that’s what chiropractors
has been fighting for so long- the organised pharmaceutical
campaigns and organised medical drug dispensing, via TV - "Get your free drug trial today". They don’t
like it too much when most people can stay healthier without
the pills and the prescriptions.
I tell new patients not to expect great changes overnight,
the road to truth and the freedom to know about and to choose
individual heath care is a long and hard one.
I trust that you will give chiropractic the chance to lead your family to better health.
If anyone wants to find out about chiropractic then simply
ask your chiropractor.
